That one moment in my life
Glimpses of the past, often,
come flashing before my eyes,
can I get another chance,
what if it was unreal, a disguise.
Is it possible to give my younger self,
some much-needed advice,
and tell her to take things easy,
take every hard incident, with a pinch of
spice
To let loose her hair more often,
To allow the winter breeze to softly brush
her face,
To remember it’s all temporary,
And to accept the good and bad days with
equal grace.
No, she will not understand,
My older self seems to assure,
Let her experience what’s in store for her,
Let her gain your wisdom, her heart will find
all cure.
