Just one more time

Sometimes, when the going gets tough and when the road ahead looks dark and hazy, we think to ourselves- okay, this is it. All the sunshine days seem to be past us, like they never happened at all. And the turmoil we are currently passing through, all the great hardships that we are facing, they are the only thing that seems real. These are the times when the disappointments we faced and the fears we couldn’t overcome, scare us to take the next step. Our confidence & self-belief, look weak to their knees and the road seems just too steep. Where does it go? Do we turn back now and call it quits? Well, no. We weren’t built like that.

Have you noticed, the river does not stop flowing when it is faced with obstacles in its stream, it simply flows around them. The Sun rays don’t disappear when the windowsill tries to stop them, it simply passes through it. The spider doesn’t give up when it falls that umpteenth time trying to build a web, it dusts itself off and crawls up once more. The tea leaves immersed in boiling water do not crumble or lose themselves but instead emit lovely aroma. Hardships define you. They bring out the best in you, which you never knew existed. Remember why you started in the first place. If you could come so far, you could go so much further without doubt. Keep the faith. Just one more time.

So, when the days are hard, just remember, it’s not about what those difficulties take away from you, it’s what you do with what you are left with. You are a child of God and there’s a light that you carry. Let this light guide you through everything. No one was built perfect, that’s why pencils have erasers and computers have delete keys. We are all broken, we are all imperfect, and that’s how the light gets in. We can all start where we are and make the best (or worst) of it. We can give the world the best we have. The world needs people who shine bright in their own little space no matter what the day brings.

In the words of Thomas Edison – “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”

Let’s do this world a favor, let us not give up. Let us move forward, just one more time, with broken egos and shattered hearts and on the way, let's find our success which might had been waiting for us just round the corner. That will be our reward for trying just one more time. Remember, the Sun is still shining through the windowsills and river is still paving its way forward despite all odds. Let's follow their lead.
