Break Free

Image
Let today, be the day, when you break free,   Break free- From your expectations from your own self, From your need to learn everything, From trying to be a perfectionist, From posing every day is spring.   Break free- From hating being wrong, From giving up on your dreams From a life that’s more dead than alive, From mediocre life streams.   Break free- From trying to be the favourite, From any needs for compliments, From avoiding keeping yourself first, From letting go of the last of your arguments.   Break free- From any relationships that stink, From the imaginary limitations you had built, From the world of sorrows, From those self-doubts and guilts.   Break free, cause’ you are worth it Break free, cause’ you deserve a chance, Break free because your own happiness is precious, Life would just pass by if you don’t give it the first glance.             ...

That one moment in my life

Glimpses of the past, often, come flashing before my eyes, can I get another chance, what if it was unreal, a disguise.   Is it possible to give my younger self, some much-needed advice, and tell her to take things easy, take every hard incident, with a pinch of spice    To let loose her hair more often, To allow the winter breeze to softly brush her face, To remember it’s all temporary, And to accept the good and bad days with equal grace.   No, she will not understand, My older self seems to assure, Let her experience what’s in store for her, Let her gain your wisdom, her heart will find all cure.

Letter to my son

Image
The sun shone a little brighter, the day you were born, the evening sky glimmered, with some lovely hues,   Your little toes twitched and your beautiful big eyes sparkled, My heart said to me, you were the one, it’s a blue.   I definitely sensed divinity that day, I promise, It was all so miraculous and perfect, Holding you in my arms the first time, I felt fulfilled, I now reflect.   It’s been 13 years already, But you never fail to surprise me, son you truly live up to your name, you are my first ray of Sun.   Showing your composed and tolerant demeanour, You try keeping your vices forbidden, Though you manage to keep your virtues upright, But your brilliance can never be hidden.   Your kindness is infectious, Remember to let it spread its wings and fly, Your creativity knows no bounds, It deserves to see the light of day to multiply.     The love & affection you hold for others, has inspired me...

Remembrance

Image
When your heart aches, which it often will, Remember me with fondness, And the love you behold still.     Let go of the sorrow,   the pain that encompasses you, Cause’ my body may have perished, but my spirit is just as new.   I’m on my last journey, I must take it alone, There’s a light which guides me throughout,   I feel Him, and His splendor, I think I have always known.   We shall meet again, Our fates and path shall cross, Your heart will know, your soul will tell, And there will be peace and joy, across.   Remember the moments we had, And the memories we made, oh so sweet, Keep me alive in your smiles, and your laughs, I want to be set free, until we finally meet.

The thrill of being wrong

Do you agree to disagree, Are you comfortable being wrong, Is it an identity crisis after all, Or a question where do you really belong?   Your beliefs are being questioned, The rules of the games just changed, It feels like an external war, to unsettle the settled is arranged.   We are all wrong, I wonder, more often than we admit, We often want to rethink, Though our pride and ego seldom permit     Admitting you are wrong, Admitting your beliefs needed a cure, Voila, you gave yourself a second chance To be less wrong than you were before.        So, learn to question your opinions, Your beliefs, your views, you have built all along,   You may discover you are merely in pursuit of truth, Even if it means proving your own views wrong.   You may worry, about your dependability But in fact, your competency remains intact, Your humbleness and willingness to learn Just found a way to rea...
